I called the children’s home to discuss business since I had not been able to get through on Yahoo Messenger chat for over a week.
Contact has been getting progressively worse for the last number of months. Inday took the computer and the wifi hotspot with her to town and asked them to see if they could find the problem. The hotspot uses a type of cell phone battery. The battery has gone bad. It has shorted out and will not hold a charge and the charger is not powerful enough to overcome the short. And, it will not operate on just the charger.
The next step is to find a new battery or a new hotspot or other type of internet connection. It is still the least expensive way to handle business. The load to be online for a whole day costs the same as a 2-minute phone call even using the discounted calling app.
So now, that is an extra expense that will have to be budgeted for the next week or two. It will be good to get back on a regular contact basis, or at least as much as cellular service in that area allows.
