A dear lady from the Logansport Nazarene Church, Diane Vernon, has been a friend for many years. After we started the children’s home she would occasionally ask if we had any projects or needs going on.
About 3 years ago, she started supporting the children monthly as well as giving designated donations to projects that she felt important. As a widow lady with very limited income, I knew that her gifts were sacrificial giving; not given out of excess resources but from a heart of love.
She was a very private person and asked only that the kids be taken care of and she wanted no public praise.
