Inday purchased a cell phone about 3 months ago. She paid less than $20.00 USD because that was the funds that she had to work with.
After 6 days of no contact, I was happy to get an answer when I called. I found out that the $20.00 phone had gone bad. Inday had borrowed a neighbor’s phone for an hour a day and put the sim card in it hoping that I would call during that one hour.
A few days ago, I had mentioned that the police had warned her about a person who they felt might be a threat to her or the children. I was concerned that maybe something had happened.
The LCD had gone bad. The cost of a LCD is more than the cost of a new phone.
This week the electric bill is due so it will likely be another week or so before she can get a replacement phone. The internet, which is also cellular, is very unreliable so chat and email are hard to use to take care of business for the children’s home.
